B.S. Human Medicine, University of Bonn
During my medical studies at Bonn University I became fascinated by the organization and function of the human brain. This led me to choose an experimental MD thesis where I analyzed molecular-genetic factors of memory performance in temporal lobe epilepsy. I developed a strong interest in neurodegenerative disorders and the cellular mechanisms related to it. My current research in the Biederer group is focused on the pathological processes in neuronal cells underlying Parkinson’s disease.
