Short Biography
I joined the Biederer lab because I aim get a new perspective on mechanisms regulating synaptic functions. I am particularly interested in research on neuronal connectivity in vivo. Synapse-organizing cell adhesion molecules are recognized mediators of synaptic wiring, and promising candidates for mediators of synaptic remodeling. I would like to identify the synapse specific combinations of synaptic adhesion molecules that coordinate synapse specification and remodeling during development of neuronal networks.
