Short Biography
During my medical studies at Bonn University I became fascinated by the organization and function of the human brain. This led me to choose an experimental MD thesis where I analyzed molecular-genetic factors of memory performance in temporal lobe epilepsy. I developed a strong interest in neurodegenerative disorders and the cellular mechanisms related to it. My research in the Biederer group was focused on the pathological processes in neuronal cells underlying Parkinson’s disease.
