Short Biography
At Boston University, I studied stress granule biology in neurodegenerative disease under the direction of Benjamin Wolozin. After graduation, I worked as a research technician in Marian DiFiglia’s laboratory at MGH, investigating molecular and cellular dysfunction in Huntington’s Disease. My research in the Biederer lab will focus on the trans-synaptic spread of alpha-synuclein fibrils and its implications for pathogenesis and synapse disassembly in Parkinson’s Disease.
